Documents, purpose and availability.
This overview identifies document types to discuss. It is not a list of documents already approved or held for a particular supply.
| Document | Buyer purpose | Current availability |
|---|---|---|
| Product specification | Defines product requirements and approved limits. | Request the applicable version; none is published here. |

| Origin & traceability records | Links the supply to its declared origin and lot. | Required records to be agreed for the proposed supply. |
| Process information | Describes the relevant production or processing route. | Confirm what producer information can be provided. |
| Allergen declaration | Supports the buyer’s assessment where applicable. | Applicability and availability to be confirmed. |
| Safety documentation | Supports handling or other applicable requirements. | Provided only where applicable and available. |

Independent analysis
Testing with
a defined purpose.
Where independent analysis is required, agree the laboratory, sampling approach, test scope and acceptance criteria. A result only answers the question it was designed to test.
Specification ≠ batch result
A specification describes what the product must meet. A CoA records results for a particular lot. The document identity, version, methods and link to the supplied batch all matter.
